Bill and Nancy Barrus Tornstrom of Mayville, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniveray on Nov. 25, 2011, with a dinner party at the Mayville Veterans of Foreign Wars in Mayville, N.Y. The celebration was hosted by their children: Susan (Patrick) Norrod of Frewsburg, N.Y., Jeffrey (Robin) Tornstrom of Findley Lake, N.Y., and Shelley (Sharon Long) Tornstrom of Kernsville, N.C. They also have seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
They were married in Fentonville United Methodist Church in Fentonville, N.Y.
Tornstrom is retired sergeant of Chautauqua County Sheriff Department. Mrs. Tornstrom is a retired register nurse and had been employed by Westfield Family Physicians. They are members of Mayville United Methodist Church in Mayville, N.Y.
