Mr. and Mrs. Donald Butler of Ashville, N.Y., announce the engagement of their son, Peter, to Katie Tobin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Tobin of Dansville, N.Y. Butler graduated from Alfred University in 2011 and is pursuing a career in criminal justice. His fiance is a graduate of Alfred University. She is employed as a human resources employment specialist for the Arc of Livingston-Wyoming.
A October 2013 wedding date is planned.
