Free Masons To Hold Dinner
CHERRY CREEK - The Cherry Creek Lodge 384 Free and Accepted Masons will hold its annual St. Patrick's dinner at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 6. A performance of Irish dancing will be presented by the Clann Na Cara Irish Dance at 7:15 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults; $5 for ages 6 to 12; under age 5, free.
Ripley Plans Registration
RIPLEY - Ripley Central School will hold preschool and kindergarten registration on Thursday, March 8, in the principal's office. To be eligible for kindergarten, a child must turn 5 years old on or before Dec. 1. To be eligible for preschool, a child must turn 4 years old on or before Dec. 1. Parents may register their child between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. March 8. Those who can't attend registration day can call the principal's office at 736-2631, ext. 252. Those attending registration day should bring registration, proof of residency, the child's birth certificate, Social Security card and an official immunization record with up-to-date immunizations. Benefit Set For March 11
A benefit for Alicia Passamonte and her family will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at Celoron American Legion Post 777, located at the corner of Jackson and Fairmount avenues, West Ellicott. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children between the ages of 6 and 16. Children 5 and under are admitted free. The admission fee includes draft beer, a spaghetti dinner and live entertainment. There will also be a Chinese auction. Performers include Ken Hardley and the Henways, BandHanna, Ray D. O'Flyer, Tiny B and Shawn and Andy. Ms. Passamonte has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and stage 3 breast cancer. Pre-sale tickets are $15. Auction To Assist Playground Fund
The Southwestern Elementary School PTO will host a purse auction from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the elementary school cafeteria. The cost is $5 per person and includes a variety of desserts and refreshments. Purses include designer labels, vintage bags and gently carried classics. All proceeds will benefit the Southwestern Elementary Playground Fund.
