Shrove Tuesday Supper Planned

RANDOLPH - Grace Episcopal Church, Center and Washington streets, Randolph, will host a pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday, from 5 to 7 p.m. to raise funds for the John Draves Memorial Building Fund. There is no cost, but a free-will offering will be accepted. The meal includes pancakes, local maple syrup, sausage, orange juice, milk and coffee.

JPS Board To Meet Tuesday

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the board room at 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

Driver Safety Program Set

SALAMANCA - The Salamanca Senior Center is hosting a six-hour driver safety program from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Classes will be held at the Senior Center, 20 Main St., Salamanca. Drivers must attend both sessions to receive credit for the course. The cost is $17 for AARP members and $19 for non-members. Drivers of all ages are welcome. Course participants may be eligible to receive a discount on auto insurance premiums and a reduction of up to four points on their driving record. Al Ormond will be the instructor. Leon To Hold Special Meeting

LEON - The Leon Town Board has scheduled a special meeting for 7 p.m., Thursday. It is expected that a motion to enter executive session to discuss collective negotiations pursuant to Article 14 of the Civil Service Law will be made.

Pancake Breakfast Set For Feb. 26

BEMUS POINT - The Bemus Point Volunteer Fire Department, 13 Alburtus Ave., Bemus Point, will host a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Bemus Point Village Hall/Fire Station. The cost is $6 for adults; children age10 and under $3.

Defense Workshop Set For Feb. 27

LITTLE VALLEY - Specifics regarding how businesses can work with the federal Department of Defense will be shared at a Feb. 27 workshop being presented by Cattaraugus County's Procurement Technical Assistance Center, 303 Court St., Little Valley, in the emergency services conference room. The center will host the Defense Logistics Agency's Internet Bid Board System workshop from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and again from 1 to 3 p.m. How the agency buys, searching for opportunities and more will be discussed at the workshops. Shaggy's To Host Spaghetti Idol

BEMUS POINT - The Bemus Point Study Club will hold its first Spaghetti Idol from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at Shaggy's Restaurant, over the See Zurh House in Bemus Point. The cost is $5 per person and includes choice of pasta and samples of eight different sauces with salad and bread. Beverages are not includes and desserts are $1. Proceeds will benefit the Bemus Point Library.
