Mary and Jim Young of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Catharpin, Va., Bemus Point, N.Y., and Hagerstown, Md., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 27, 2012. They are the parents of Lisa McQuaid of Sarasota, Fla., and Christine Clifford of Hagerstown, Md.
They were married at the United Methodist Church in Bemus Point, N.Y.
Young a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, had been employed as a teacher and retired as an elementary and middle school principal. Mrs. Young retired as an elementary teacher.
