Three City Residents Charged After Drugs Found In Barrows Street Home

Three Jamestown residents face charges after Jamestown police officers and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force agents found money, marijuana, pharmaceutical narcotics, crack cocaine and packaging materials in an apartment at 146 Barrows St., Jamestown, at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Saqid E. Diggs, 25, of 146 Barrows St., lower apartment, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. He will be arraigned in Jamestown City Court and is expected to be sent to he Chautauqua County Jail for further court proceedings, according to a police report. James J. Johnson, 411 Allen St., Jamestown, was charged with one count of unlawful possession of marijuana. He was issued an appearance ticket to be in Jamestown City Court later. Elizabeth A. Davidson, 32, of 303 Crescent St., was charged with one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until she can be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.

The charges come after a Jamestown City Court search warrant was issued for the house. Officers entered the house and found all three people inside.

Police report the investigation is continuing, with more charges expected.
