Kindergarten, First, Second Grades Combined At CAHF

January 29, 2012
The Post-Journal

This year has been quite different at CAHF as we have combined the kindergarten, first and second grades. It has been a positive experience for both the teachers and students.

We work together writing class stories, reading new literature, and learning Spanish as well as having gym, art and music classes together. We do word wall activities, math explorations, write in our journals and have handwriting lessons while having leveled expectations for each child.

We also do many activities in small groups while children get individualized instruction. One of these activities was making Rosary beads. The children had to count by tens and create their own pattern for their Rosary beads. The children helped each other and enjoy being able to use their finished beads when they say the Rosary each week.
