Kindergarten Through Second-Grade Students Learn About Pond Life

January 8, 2012
The Post-Journal

The K-1-2 class has had an exciting fall working on many science projects. The students had tadpoles in the classroom and were able to watch the changes each week as they grew legs, lost their tails and turned into little frogs. The students also learned about ponds and many of the interesting plants and animals that grow and live in ponds. They made pond murals depicting what they had seen, read about in books or had experienced by watching the tadpole lifecycle.
