Fifty-four members of the North Harmony Senior Citizens met Dec. 19 for the regular monthly meeting and tureen dinner.
The committee consisted of Steve and Loretta Saulsgiver, Earl and Anita Ferry, and Bonnie Johnson. Carol White provided the birthday cake, honoring Barb Johnson and Carol White. Guests were welcomed.
Gordy Saulsgiver gave the invocation. President Steve Saulsgiver led the flag salute, and John Smith read a humorous Thanksgiving dinner story. Evelyn Thorndike relayed greetings to the club from her mother, Donna Miller.
Guest Teri Nutt led the singing of carols and also played two selections on the flute.
Secretary Joyce Warner and treasurer Anita Ferry gave their reports, which were approved. Paul Holthouse, craft chairman, read a thank-you note from Shriners Hospital for items donated. Pat Saulsgiver, sunshine chairman, sent several cards around to be signed for absent members.
A motion was made and passed to make a $500 donation to help the injured Panama firefighters.
Anita Ferry and Mac McNeill were re-elected as trustees.
Prize winners were Paul Holthouse and Sally Carlson.
Hosts and hostesses for January are the same as December, with Bonnie Johnson providing the birthday cake.
Gordy Saulsgiver closed the meeting with prayer.
