Robert ''Bob'' and Diane Tompkins of Frewsburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 9, 2011, at a dinner with family and friends. The dinner was hosted by their children: Mark (Anke) and Chris Tompkins, Debby (Mark) Walsh, Colleen (Jon) Holsinger, and Erin (Chris) Wheeler. They have two grandchildren, Jared and Samantha.
Tompkins and the former Diane L. Frankson were married Dec. 9, 1961, in Lakewood, N.Y. George Shiverton, justice of the peace, performed the ceremony.
