Allen and Mary Peterson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 15, 2011, with a dinner party at LaScala Restaurant. The celebration was hosted by their children: Kimberly (Peterson) and David Bentley, and Kris and Amy (Fantasky) Peterson; and their grandchildren, Erik and Kaitlyn Bentley and Annika Peterson. Out-of-state guests attended from Washington, D.C., Missouri, Virginia and Ohio.
Peterson and the former Mary Erickson were married Oct. 14, 1961, in First Lutheran Church, Jamestown. The Rev. Paul Westerberg performed the ceremony.
