Diane Campbell, LPN, was presented as the Hultquist Place Employee of the Year at the Chautauqua County Home Care Association Annual Employee Recognition dinner held recently.
Kathy Lynch, Hultquist Place administrator, introduced Diane and said, ''Although Diane's work ethic is superb she brings other qualities to the work place that allow work to begin to feel like home. Home-baked goods get smuggled in to residents who are lonely, blue or just express a hunger for 'one good cookie'. When staff gets pressured, gooey goodies appear to help keep our spirits up. If she senses a resident or staff person is feeling lonely, she quickly enfolds them with her compassion and they know someone cares. Families trust her, as do the residents. She is an expert at relationships and advocates for the residents.''
Diane began working at Hultquist Place in 2007 when the program first opened and played a key role in setting up systems and training staff to assure that the residents were well cared for. Currently, Diane serves as Charge person and is active on the Safety Committee.
Hultquist Place Assisted Living Program recently completed a $6.1 million expansion project that increased the number of beds from 52 to 96. The project also included additional activity space, a larger dining room, a full kitchen, and a new beauty salon and barbershop.
