Holly K. Hess and Jacob A. Shields exchanged wedding vows on Oct. 1, 2011 at St. Luke's Catholic Church. The Rev. Richard Shewman performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Darlene Hess of Erie, Pa. Her husband is the son of Kent and Shari Shields of Ashville, N.Y.
The bride wore a strapless ivory gown with sweetheart neckline.

Shannon Hess, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Lori Hess, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Nora Shields, sister of the groom, Mary Pirrello, Courtney Baker, Ashley Kinnear and Amanda Miller, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Chloe Hess-Shields, daughter of the couple.
Best man was Jason Bowser. Ushers were Robert Hess, brother of the bride; Jeremy Sult; Devin Riley, nephew of the groom; Tyler Dansforth; Nate Gudz and Rocco Nori III. Ring bearer was Nathaniel Bartlett, nephew of the groom.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of McDowell High School and a 2006 graduate of Gannon University with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She is employed by Saint Vincent Health Center in behavioral health assessment. Her husband is a 2001 graduate of Panama Central School and attended Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pa. He is employed by Verizon Wireless in Meadville, Pa.
They honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.
They are living in Erie, Pa.
