Area Brokers Honored By County Realtors

Bobbie Thompson of Real Estate Advantage and Sandy Calalesina of CENTURY 21 Turner Brokers, have been named 2011 Realtor and Realtor-Associate of the Year, respectively, by the Chautauqua County Board of Realtors Inc.

Recipients are selected by their peers based on involvement in the real estate industry at local, state and national levels, civic activity, and business accomplishments, conduct and service to clients.

Mrs. Thompson has been a member of the board for 22 years. She has given her time and effort to serve the board as bylaws chairwoman and as a member of the political affairs, equal opportunity and membership committees throughout those years. She is also on the boards of the YMCA and YWCA, is a Chautauqua County Humane Society volunteer, trainer and dog walker. In addition to her service to the board and community, she has been a consistent multi-million dollar seller.

Mrs. Calalesina has been a member of the board for 26 years, serving on the board's public relations committee. Board officials said she is always ready to lend a hand whether it is with the real estate profession or within the community. She is on the Creche board of trustees, is a Red Cross Donor, member of the Building and Grounds Committee with Christ First United Methodist Church, volunteers through the Lakewood Women's Club and is active volunteer at St. Susan's Kitchen. She has also been a consistent multi-million dollar seller throughout her real estate career.
