Ronald and Alice Barmore of Gerry, N.Y. celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 8, 2011, with an open house at the Gerry Rodeo Dinning Hall and a family dinner at the War Vets. The celebration was hosted by their children: Melody Barmore of Jamestown, N.Y., Ronalee (John) Horan of Gerry, N.Y., and Wade Barmore of Gerry, their grandchildren: Lindsey (Bill) Fisk, Maryville, Tenn., Shannon (Sean) Eggleston, Silver Creek, N.Y., Ryan (Kaila) Horan, Jamestown, N.Y., Sean Horan, Gerry, N.Y., Sarah Barmore and Jake Barmore, Gerry, N.Y., and Heather (Dan) Maloney of Jamestown, N.Y., and nieces: Rae Jones, Jamestown, N.Y., and Amy Desiderio, Babylon, N.Y. They are also the great-grandparents of Austin and Chandler Eggleston, Dylin Fisk, Zack and Alex Shoup and Abby and Morgan Maloney.
Barmore and the former Alice Hayward were married Oct. 6, 1951.
Barmore is a former installer with ALLTEL NY Corp. Mrs. Barmore had been employed as a registered nurse with the former Jamestown General Hospital.
