Bud and Deb Pike of Ashville, N.Y., and Gerald Near of Cherry Creek, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather L. Near, to Chad M. DeVlieger, the son of Bob and Mary DeVlieger of Pamana, N.Y.
Miss Near is a graduate of Southwestern Central High School. Her fiance is a graduate of Panama Central High School and is employed by B&M Electric.
A Sept. 29, 2012, wedding is planned.
