The fourth annual "An Evening in Italy" fundraiser for Family Service of the Chautauqua Region will be held again this year at St. James Church, 27 Allen St., Jamestown. The event will be held on Friday, Jan. 27, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The cost for the dinner is $30 per person. Tickets are limited, so be sure to purchase yours early as this event sells out quickly.

The event will feature such fine Italian dishes as bruschetta, pasta fagioli, Italian wedding soup, cold bean salad, Italian olives, panzerotti, pasta salad, chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, field salad with pancetta and walnut, sausage, aranchini, pizza bianca, Italian cookies, biscotti, cannoli, and much more. The event also will feature a variety of fine wines to compliment the Italian cuisine. The food and wine has all been donated by Family Service of the Chautauqua Region volunteers and patrons.

The event would not be possible without the input and support from former chef and agency president, Barney Johnston. Plenty of parking is available at the St. James Church lot. The facility is handicapped accessible.

Tickets for prize drawings are also available for $5 each. The grand prize will be a $500 ''design your own vacation'' at Glenora Inn and Winery on Seneca Lake, roughly a 2-hour drive from Jamestown. Glenora Wine Cellars received instant acclaim in wine circles when its initial vintage won several medals at the New York State Fair wine competition. These visionaries watched their farm winery grow to a commercial producer and win recognition in Wine Spectator magazine as one of the world's top wineries.

At the Glenora Inn, every room overlooks spectacular vineyards and Seneca Lake. Rooms are beautifully appointed with Stickley furniture creating an atmosphere of simple elegance. All rooms feature a private patio or balcony. To learn more about the Glenora Inn and Winery, visit their website at www.glenora.com.

Proceeds from this event will support the programs and services of Family Service of the Chautauqua Region. This organization is a family-focused mental health counseling agency providing services at home, at school, at work and in the community. Its mission is to strengthen the mental health and well being of individuals, families and our communities. Services are provided by licensed psychologists, social workers, and counselors. A variety of appointment hours are available to accommodate the needs of the clients. The proceeds from this event will be used to provide services to those in our community who are uninsured or under-insured and in need of mental health services. Family Service of the Chautauqua Region is a United Way member agency.

Tickets are available from any Family Service of the Chautauqua Region Board member, or by calling or emailing the Family Service of the Chautauqua Region office at 488-1971 or kathyb@familyservicecr.com.
