Natalie Marie Kolivas and Daniel Mendez exchanged wedding vows on May 28, 2011, at the Universalist Unitarian Church in Buffalo, N.Y. Chaplain Anthony Keller performed the ceremony. Readers were Jacob Piorkowski, Neil Walsh and Nicole Bottaro.
The bride is the daughter of Spyros and Rosary Kolivas of Jamestown, N.Y., and the granddaughter of Anthony and Angela Genco of Jamestown, N.Y. Her husband is the son of Luis Mendez and Kathleen Hall-Mendez of Buffalo, N.Y.
The bride wore a strapless Victorian lace gown with crystal beading by Maggie Sottero.

Nicole Piorkowski, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Alex Herman, Theodora Stavropoulos, Caitlin DeRose, Leslie Bovenza, Lindsey Gruber, Rebecca Culpepper, Maria Amaya and Jennie Gioulpegiazis. Flower girls were Alexzandria Genco and Maria Roumeliotis.
Best man was Joseph Herman, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Anthony James Genco, Thomas Laudico, Larry Schiavi, Tony Parisi, Gerald Whelan, Pepsy Kettavong, Damian Degennaro and J.P. Zeis. Ring bearers were Cole Herman and Tomas Pizarro.
The bride is a graduate of Jamestown High School and the University at Buffalo, and is pursuing a master's degree at Buffalo State College. Her husband is a graduate of Canisius High School in Buffalo, and received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is CEO of Diverse Funding Associates in Buffalo, N.Y.
They honeymooned on a European cruise featuring several countries.
They are living in East Amherst, N.Y.
