FALCONER - To celebrate 20 years in business, Belle-View East owner Gary Visosky will be offering discounts, giveaways and coupons for 20 days in November.

Starting Thursday, with a coupon that will appear in The Post-Journal on Tuesday, the restaurant and bar will be offering a $5 discount on dinners and a $2 discount on lunch for 20 days and nights. Also, there will be $20 gift certificates awarded each day and dessert giveaways for customers. From Nov. 13 to 20, patrons can receive 50 cents off all drinks.

''I enjoy the people. We have great, great customers,'' Visosky said. ''We're going to keep going as long as we can. As long as the staff and customers stay loyal, we'll be here.''

Visosky said one reason his business, which is located at 7 E. Main St., Falconer, has been successful is thanks to his staff. He said he has had seven to eight employees who have been with him the whole 20 years.

''That doesn't happen often. There is a lot of turnover in the restaurant business,'' he said. ''The staff has done a wonderful job.''

Visosky, who used to also own a restaurant location along Foote Avenue in Jamestown, said he owes gratitude to his customers for his business' longevity.

''We have tons and tons of repeat customers,'' he said. ''All those people continue to come back on a regular basis.''

Visosky said he has lots of loyal customers who also come in from out of town for golf outings and to enjoy the lake during the summer.

''They know about our large portions,'' he said. ''I would say 80 to 85 percent of the customers leave with a box to go. They then have a second meal for lunch tomorrow or for dinner that night.''

The Belle-View East has a banquet facility which can seat around 80 people. The banquet area is private, away from the restaurant, with its own restroom facilities and bar area.

After 20 years of driving a UPS truck and now after 20 years of owning the Belle-View East, Visosky said he is pretty lucky to still be open.

''I had no idea, I never dreamed, that we would last this length of time,'' he said. ''We're pretty fortunate to still be open.''

The restaurant accepts to-go orders and people in large groups or Friday and Saturday night should call ahead for reservations. Visosky said walk-ins are accepted and the restaurant is very flexible to all customer needs. The Belle-View East is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch Monday through Friday, 3:30 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday for dinner, 3:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday for dinner, and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.
