Jim and Diane Gleason of Mayville, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Nic-L-Inn followed by a trip to the New England states. They have two sons: Tim and Adrienne Gleason of Mayville, N.Y.; and Steve and Wendy Gleason of Jamestown, N.Y. They also have five grandchildren.
Gleason and the former Diane DeKay were married on Sept 23, 1961, in the Hurlbut Memorial Church in Chautauqua Institution. The Rev. Charles Aldrich performed the ceremony.
Gleason retired from Genesee LeRoy Stone Corportation as manager of blacktop plants in Westfield and Dunkirk. Mrs. Gleason retired from the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services serving as an accounting supervisor. They are active members of the Chautauqua Fire Department and the Chautauqua Fire Department Auxiliary.
