The Post-Journal

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County's Canadaway 4-H Club of Fredonia will hold registration Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Fredonia First United Methodist Church at 25 Church St., Fredonia. Any child age 5 to 18 can participate in 4-H. The registration fee of $15 per child is due at registration with a family limit of $45. 4-H provides unique opportunities for children of different ages and ability levels to interact together and learn from one another while doing various activities. Some of the activities the Canadaway Club participated in last year were: ceramics, jewelry making, gardening and horticulture, sewing, cooking, woodworking, electrical, community service, public presentations, craft projects as well as individual members participating in various animal projects. The 2011-12 year is a special one for the Canadaway Club as they are celebrating their 75th year. For more information, contact Heather Lesch at 679-4702.
