Donny and Priscilla Lawson of Perry, Ga., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 13, 2011, with a dinner at the home of their son, Monte Lawson. The celebration was hosted by their sons: Monte and Mark Lawson, both of Jamestown, N.Y. They also attended Mrs. Lawson's 50th high school reunion on Aug. 6, 2011, in Randolph, N.Y. In attendance at the dinner was Anna Waite, mother of the bride, who also made the cake for the anniversary celebration.
Lawson and the former Priscilla Waite were married July 1, 1961, in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Falconer, N.Y. The Rev. Clarence H. Carlson performed the ceremony.
Lawson was employed by Amsco-Jamestown and Southwestern Schools. Mrs. Lawson had been employed by Field & Wright and Raymour's Furniture, both of Jamestown, N.Y., and Bond Medical Clinic in Winter Haven, Fla.
