Bensink

Irwin J. and Joyce C. Bensink of Clymer celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner at Pine Junction, Findley Lake, N.Y., and receptions in Oneonta, N.Y., and Clymer, N.Y. They have three children: Tanya (Gary) Smith of South Kingston, R.I.; Lance (Donna) Bensink of Clymer; and Jabin (Linda) Bensink of Millsboro, Del. They have seven grandchildren: SFC USAF Matthew Smith of Warren, Pa.; Ryan (Samantha) Bensink of Clymer; Travis (Tawn) Bensink of Winston Salem, N.C.; Nathan Bensink of Julliete, Ga.; Staff Sgt. U.S. Army Lara Bensink of Ft. Bragg, N.C.; Jocelyn Bensink of Clymer and U.S. Army ROTC Chad Bensink of Millsboro, Del. They also have five great-grandchildren: Kiaya and Luka Bensink of Clymer; Tristan Bensink-Browarek of Ft. Bragg, N.C.; and Thandan and Tatum Bensink of Winston Salem, N.C.

Bensink and the former Joyce E. Collins were married Aug. 12, 1951, in the First Baptist Church, Oneonta, N.Y. The Rev. George Thompson performed the ceremony.

Bensink is a former teacher of agriculture and guidance counselor at Otego, Hilton, Barker and Clymer central schools. Following retirement, he was employed by Sherwin-Williams, Corry, Pa. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Com. Z Zone in France and Germany. Mrs. Bensink was employed as a transcriptionist at Corry Memorial Hospital, Corry, Pa. They are both members of the Clymer Hill Reformed Church, Clymer, N.Y. Bensink is a member of the American Legion Damcott-Jones Post 0874, Clymer, N.Y. Mrs. Bensink is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Henry-Mosher Post 0638, Falconer, N.Y.
