John and Janet Gilson of Jamestown, N.Y., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 13, 2011, at the Marvin Community House. The celebration was hosted by their children: Cindy and Richard Siegel of Bemus Point, N.Y.; Susan Gilson and Daniel Thomas of Silver Spring, Md.; and John and Florence Gilson of Marietta, Ga. Members of original wedding party in attendance were Suzanne Kates of Tonawanda, N.Y.; James Gassman of North Fort Myers, Fla.; and Ken Vaughn of Williamsville, N.Y.
They were married Aug. 11, 1951, in Buffalo, N.Y.
