Kauffman

Gerald R. and Joan A. Kauffman, of Jamestown, N.Y., formerly of Belmont, N.Y., and Frewsburg, N.Y., celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a small private dinner. The dinner was hosted by their sons and their spouses: James and Janene Kauffman of Centennial, Colo., and Robert ''Bob'' and Mary Kauffman of Port Orange, Fla. They are also the parents of the late Karen Anzalone. They have eight grandchildren: Angela (Anzalone) Swartzman, Frewsburg, N.Y.; Bobby Kauffman, Green Cove Springs, Fla.; Chris Kauffman, Port Orange, Fla.; Ryan, Michael, Madison and Samantha Kauffman, Centennial, Colo.; and Kate (Kauffman) Sturtevant, Pueblo, Colo.; and seven great-grandchildren: Morgan Knight, Mackenzie and Samuel Swartzman, Frewsburg, N.Y.; Emerson Kauffman, Port Orange, Fla.; and Vanessa, Ammon and Grayson Sturtevant, Pueblo, Colo. Out-of-state guests attended from Colorado and Pennsylvania.

Kauffman and the former Joan A. Champlin were married Aug. 14, 1946, in Friendship, N.Y., at the home of the bride. The Rev. Snyder performed the ceremony.

Kauffman is a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, serving with the 7th Aerodrome in the Pacific Theatre. He had been employed as a station agent for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad in Jamestown and the surrounding areas. He also served as a pastor, serving many of the smaller local church communities until his retirement. Mrs. Kauffman served as a cadet nurse during the war. She had been employed as a maternity nurse for the General and WCA hospitals, both of Jamestown, N.Y. They are members of the New Beginnings Fellowship Methodist Church in Jamestown, N.Y.
