George and Margaret ''Peg'' Rowley of Jamestown, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 21, 2011, with a party at the Busti Victorian Hall. The celebration was hosted by their family. They are the parents of Cathy (Kevin) Burch of Jamestown, N.Y., and George ''Bill'' Rowley of Jamestown, N.Y. They also have five grandsons: Brandon Rowley, Cavan Scalf, Spencer Scalf, Dalton Scalf and Colton Rowley. Also in attendance from the original wedding party was Nancy Wells, matron of honor and sister of the bride.
They were married May, 20, 1961, in Busti.
Rowley is retired from SKF and is a member of the Celoron Legion. Mrs. Rowley is employed by Brigiotta's. She is a member of the Busti-Lakewood Senior Citizens and Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.
