The Mole' family of Jamestown recently was presented with the Family of the Year Award at the Jamestown Area YMCA's annual meeting. Henry, Rochelle, Rachel and Rosemarie Mole' are YMCA family members and have participated in and supported several programs at the Jamestown and Lakewood YMCAs.
The award was presented by Tom Anderson, Lakewood YMCA branch manager.
"This family is very talented, passionate, committed, enthusiastic, generous and physically fit," said Anderson. "I see them everyday at the Y and they are a delightful family that we have come to cherish."

Mr. Mole' is an optometrist at Spectrum Eyecare in Jamestown and enjoys working out at the Jamestown YMCA.
Mrs. Mole' is a stay-at-home mom who has been employed as the controller at Trinity Biotech in Jamestown in the past.
She likes working out at the Lakewood YMCA where she participates in the tennis leagues there and personal training with Brooke Sheesley.
Rachel will be a junior this year at Frewsburg Central School. She uses the Lakewood YMCA for her workouts and plays tennis there with instructor Ron Condio. As a result, she made it to the semi-finals at sectionals placing her in the top four of Western New York.
Rosemarie will be in eighth grade this year at Frewsburg Central School and also enjoys playing tennis at the Y. Anderson, her instructor, has worked with her for a couple of years making it possible for her to join the varsity tennis team and making it to counties for doubles.
"As a family, we owe a lot to the Y since they have helped us reach so many of our goals," said Mrs. Mole'. "We greatly appreciate the recognition of family of the year and we feel like the Y is also our family."
Recently, Mrs. Mole' and Rachel both completed the Cleveland Half Marathon along with trainer Sheesley who was very encouraging.
The first Mole' family race was the YMCA Firecracker Run last year. The entire family and some relatives completed the race and are planning on participating in it again in July.
