June 24, 2011
The Post-Journal

ALFRED - Kaitlyn Bentley, a junior accounting major, was recognized as a member of the Pacioli Society, a campus honor society in accounting, and Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honor society for accredited colleges of business, during the Alfred University annual spring Honors Convocation.

Bentley is a graduate of Maple Grove Junior-Senior High School and a daughter of David and Kimberley Bentley of Jamestown.

The Pacioli Society was established in 1968 on the initiative of Emeritus Professor R.J. Chambers, the foundation Professor of Accounting at the University of Sydney. The aim was to provide a forum on matters related to accounting, business and finance, and to foster the expression of both academic and professional views on topical issues based on informed opinion and debate.

Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.
