CHERRY CREEK - Cherry Creek is truly a family oriented community.
In fact, the community is like a family.
On Thanksgiving Day, the community became a family as residents came together and enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the Neighbors restaurant on Main Street.

Rebecca, Frankie and Penny serve their neighbors of the Cherry Creek community as 26 thanksgiving dinners were served at the Neighbors Restaurant in Cherry Creek on Thursday.

Serving began at noon and by 4:30 p.m., 26 dinners had been enjoyed.
"With help from the community, we were able to serve the community," said Penny, one of the owners of the restaurant. "We didn't do it alone."
Neighbors from the area dropped off donations and then returned later to partake of the dinner with their friends. Others who enjoyed the day were those who would otherwise have been alone, as children have grown up and moved from the area.
