Robert "Bob" Henry, 80, of Spring Street, East Randolph, passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, in the emergency room at WCA Hospital.
He was born Feb. 13, 1930, in Staten Island, N.Y., the son of the late Robert and Katherine Wollen Henry.
Bob retired in 1987 as a boiler inspector for the state of New York, and had also owned and operated West Wind Shooters for 30 years. In earlier years had worked for the Staten Island ferries for 11 years and the Maritime Service for 10 years.

Bob was a member of the Randolph Grace Episcopal Church, Cherry Creek Free and Accepted Masons, Mariners Free and Accepted Masons and the Randolph Rod & Gun Club. Bob was active in trap shooting for many years and was competitive in many leagues.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth M. (Nee) Koerner, whom he married Sept. 17, 1960, in Staten Island, N.Y.; five children, Robert Henry of Staten Island, Stephen Henry of New Jersey, Robert Jason Henry of Staten Island, Lauren Hartley of Albany, and Jodie Petershagen of Carmichael, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Henry; three sisters, Kathleen Bradley, Margaret Stiller and Carol Henry.
The family will be present to receive family and friends on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, from 1 to 5 p.m., in the VANRENSSELAER & SON Funeral Home, Randolph. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, in the Randolph Grace Episcopal Church. The Rev. Thomas Broad, rector, will officiate.
