WARREN -The Masters Swim Team of the Jamestown YMCA competed in a meet held at the Warren YMCA on Sunday, where 10 swimmers earned recognition for top performances.
Andrea Carr finished first in four events in the 40-44 age group with victories in the 100-meter freestyle, 25 backstroke, 100 breaststroke and the 50 breaststroke.
Tom Mann also won four events with, taking the 25 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 25 butterfly and the 500 freestyle for the 60-64 age group. In the 70-74 Division, Bill Radack placed first in the 25 backstroke, 50 freestyle, 50 breaststroke and the 25 butterfly.
Swimming in the 80-84 age group, Judy Young won four events taking the 100 freestyle, the 25 backstroke, the 50 freestyle and the 200 backstroke.
Allan Silliker in the 60-64 age group came in first in the 100 freestyle, first in the 100 breast stroke and came in second place in the 200 individual medley.
Competing in the 55-59 division, Rick Siegel finished third in the 100 breaststroke, second in the 50 breaststroke and second in the 200 individual medley.
Karen Williams finished first in the 100 freestyle and second in the 50 freestyle in the 50-54 age range. Kelly Bates placed first in the 25 butterfly and the 500 freestyle.
Art Munson competed in the 55-59 age group and swam ahead of the pack for a first-place finish in the 50 breast stroke while adding a second place in the 500 freestyle. David Young was second in the 50 freestyle in the same division.
The next meet will be held in Erie on Nov. 7.
