Stanley and Suzanne Peterson of Lakewood, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 12, 2010, at the Lakewood Fireman's Grounds with an open house. The celebration was hosted by their children: Scott and Caroleen Peterson, and Susan and Steve Chipman, all of Jamestown, and their grandchildren: Christian and Courtnee Peterson.
Peterson and the former Suzanne Wilcox were married June 11, 1960, in Pilgrim Memorial Church, Jamestown, N.Y. The Rev. Felix Davis performed the ceremony.
Peterson had been employed as plant supervisor and traffic manager at Watson Mfg./Afro-Lecon. He is currently co-owner of Classic Tree Farms and owner of Classic Wreaths. Mrs. Peterson retired from Lutheran Social Services where she had been employed as a registered nurse. She is currently employed as a clinical instructor at BOCES Practical School of Nursing.

Peterson is director of Christmas Tree Farmers Association of New York, vice-president of Lake Erie Beagle Club and past president of International Beagle Federation. Mrs. Peterson is a member of Pilgrim Memorial Church and WCA Hospital Alumnae.
