Bruce and Wenda Nelson of Jamestown, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 10-17, 2010, with a family vacation to Myrtle Beach, S.C. The celebration was hosted by their children: Cheryl and Jim Green of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Kristine and Chuck Pierce of Randolph, N.Y.
Nelson and the former Wenda Ferino were married Sept. 10, 1960, in Kidder United Methodist Church. The Rev. Alvin J. Willink performed the ceremony.
Nelson had been employed by Coverhall American Linen and Jamestown Metal Products, retiring in 2000. Mrs. Nelson had been employed by Ruslink Plaza Drugs and Quality Markets, retiring in 1997.
