Music In Park Set In S. Dayton

SOUTH DAYTON - Music in the Park is slated for Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the South Dayton Village Park Gazebo. There will be music by Cocktail Rock. The summer music program is sponsored by the towns of Dayton, Villenova, the village of South Dayton and the New York State Council of the Arts Decentralization Regrant Program administered by the Cattaraugus Arts Council.

Sherman BOE To Hold Meeting

SHERMAN - Sherman Central School District, Board of Education will be holding a special meeting at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday in the board room. Agenda consists of personnel. Public welcome.

History Group Sets Meeting

RANDOLPH - The Randolph Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m., Wednesday, in the Randolph Municipal Building on Main Street.

Stamp Club Plans Meeting

Stamp Club will meet at Wegmans Cafe on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The program is looking at new stamps from the summer.

5K Walk For Site Scheduled

LITTLE VALLEY - The fourth annual 5K Run/Walk for Sight, sponsored by the Little Valley Lions Club, will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at the Little Valley American Legion, Route 353, Registration is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Beverages and snacks will be offered and shirts provided for all participants. The donation is $15 per person. Funds raised will benefit the local Canine Helpers for the Handicapped and the Vision Beyond Sight Foundation, which encompasses the Lions Diagnostic Center at the Ross Eye Institute, Buffalo. Local Lions member Dr. James Reynolds is the pediatric ophthalmologist at Ross Eye. The event will be dedicated to the memory of Little Valley Lion David Campbell and Lion Peter Buch of the Diagnostic Center.

Trapper Training Course Slated

FALCONER - A New York State trapper training course will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, and Friday, Sept. 24, at the Falconer Rod and Gun Club. For more information, call 485-3376.

Pearl Harbor Info Needed

The Fenton History Center is planning a 70th anniversary exhibit about the attack at Pearl Harbor. Artifacts and stories about local people who were at the event are needed to round out the exhibit. Veterans of the event or those who have information about a family member who was at Pearl Harbor at the time of the 1941 attack can call Joni Blackman at the Fenton History Center at 664-6256.
