A presentation of the Neighborhood Revitalization Plan and its potential for fostering healthy, safe and strong neighborhoods will be given at 7 p.m., Wednesday at the Jackson Center.
Those attending will hear the findings of a yearlong assessment of Jamestown's neighborhoods and what can and should be done to continue to turn Jamestown around.
We've already seen positive changes in the downtown, although most people do not realize how long it actually took to reach the point where definite implementation of an Urban Design Plan could begin.
Those attending will learn how neighbors, neighborhood groups, the government, various agencies and organizations all working together can improve home values, reduce blight and improve the overall neighborhood integrity.
The forum will include the actual presentation of the plan, a short discussion by some panelists and then time to ask questions.
This plan provides a road map on how to plan a course of action for success.
