An accident at the intersection of Washington Street and Fluvanna Avenue on Thursday afternoon resulted in a charge for a Clymer man. Police say 21-year-old Nathan D. Smith of Clymer was turning his Mercury Sable from Washington Street onto Fluvanna Avenue at about 4:45 p.m. when he went through a red light and collided with a Ford Taurus being driven by 41-year-old Dawn I. Cramer of Jamestown. Cramer was injured and transported by Alstar. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage in the collision and were towed from the scene.
