LINKS Charity Pro-Am Tees Off Monday

On Monday, the LINKS Charity Pro-Am Golf Tournament committee members will hold the annual LINKing Together Silent Auction and Dinner Banquet from 6 to 9 p.m. at Moon Brook Country Club to raise money for the WCA Cancer Care Program.
Auction items will include a three-night vacation stay on Chautauqua Lake, four Cleveland Indians club seats with parking, food and beverage for one game, and a CVG Executive office chair.
The event will include remarks from guest speaker, Kevyn Adams, NHL Stanley Cup champion who previously played for the Carolina Hurricanes and who is now a member of the Buffalo Sabres hockey operation staff.
The auction is open to the public, though seating is limited. Tickets for the dinner are $50 per person and may be purchased by calling Barbara Brown at 800-851-2812. The cost includes entrance to silent auction, dinner reception and program.
Additional silent auction items for bid include: original artwork entitled "Shagger" by Bill Cotter; a man's Bulova watch; one night stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Findley Lake; Summer Wind sightseeing cruise; Summer Wind Sunday scenic upper and lower basin cruise with buffet; Hampton Inn of Jamestown Weekend Getaway King Jacuzzi package; Bellitz-Heilstratten-herd original artwork by Karen Eckstrom; Holiday Valley Weekday Green Fees for two; framed, EPCOT original photograph; two HP iPAQ personal organizers; two HP iPAQ 211 personal organizers; two preferred seating tickets to Bemus Bay Pops, "Barbra & Frank Concert" which includes reserve seat, hors d'oeuvres and two beverages; Sony DVD player; Panasonic telephone/answering machine; 10 bleacher tickets for any Jamestown Jammers regular season home game; HP officejet mobile printer; HP scanjet Photo Scanner; and an Amish Country Guided Tour.

The Links Charity Pro-AM will again involve 25 members of the LPGA teaming up with four amateurs to form 25 teams. They will tee off with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Monday. This year's event will mark the charity's 19th anniversary, with total proceeds topping $650,000.
All proceeds from this year's auction and dinner are earmarked to be used toward the organization's three-year pledge of $250,000 toward the purchase of a new full field digital mammography imaging system to benefit WCA Hospital. Money raised over the past 18 years has been used to advance the medical care and treatment of individuals diagnosed with cancer at WCA Hospital. The funds have been applied toward state-of-the-art cancer care medical equipment; prevention and early detection programs; educational materials; low cost mammograms, pap tests, and community wellness screenings; new Computed Tomography (CT) Scan; new MRI, brachytherapy, microwave for the treatment of prostate cancer; Endoscopy equipment; 3D cancer treatment planning sentinel node biopsy; Stereotactic breast biopsy; operating room cysto/urology suite; fixed MRI, laboratory equipment, palliative care renovations; and dollars for recruiting highly-skilled physicians and health care professionals.
The lead sponsor for the 2010 LINKS Pro-Am Golf Tournament is Truck-Lite Company Inc. Major sponsors are Alstar, Cummins Engine Inc. and United Refining Company, which includes Country Fair and Kwik Fill Markets.
