The Chautauqua County Fair's Baby Parade Thursday attracted 28 contestants, ranging in age from newborns (10 days and two weeks old) to the "big kids" of 2 1/2.
They were asked to walk by the judges' table three times, some were cooperative and some were not.
There was more than one who didn't seem interested in competing for the seven titles that carried a $25 reward apiece.
The judges admitted to having a hard time choosing the winners.
But, after a conference, they came up with the most masculine, most feminine, most mischievous, most serious, friendliest and the best smile.
There also was a category for the most identical and most opposite twins.
But, since there was only one set of twins entered, a boy named Brendan and his sister Brook won the most opposite twins title.
If there was a title for the youngest contestants, 10-day-old Clint Haskins Jr. and two-week old Malik Frary would have won prizes.
As it was every one of the contestants took home a prize. It was a bag full of goodies provided by the Chautauqua County Fair.
Judy and Greg Cole, both agreed to serve as judges for the first time. They said it was fun and indicated they would be willing to come back next year.
Others who served as judges included Sherry Rivera, Jessica Edwards, Cathy Kopp and Erin Carroll.
Becky Mirek has been organizing the fair's baby parade for 10 years. She's the one who leads the constants past the judges' table and tries her very best to keep the youngsters in marching order.
She appears to enjoy the job.
