Patricia L. Monaco, 60, of 170 Lakeview Ave., Mayville, N.Y., passed away at 1:00 a.m. Saturday (July 24, 2010) in W.C.A. Hospital.
An area resident for most of her life, she was born December 5, 1949, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a daughter of the late Arthur Thomas and Ellie Ullrich Curren.
Before her retirement, she was employed by the Cassadaga Job Corps for 20 years working as a residential adviser.
She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend who loved all kinds of animals.
Surviving are her mother Ellie Curren of Spanaway, Wash., two sons: Michael A. (Amy Chase) Monaco of Frewsburg and James D. (Rhonda Greenman) Monaco Jr. of Walnut Cove, North Carolina; two daughters: Lisa M. Monaco of Erie, Pa. and Brenda L. Monaco of Jamestown, three grandchildren: Destiny L. Greenman, Shelby R. Greenman and Austin J. Monaco all of N.C., a sister, Betty Lovell of Washington, a brother, Steve Thomas of Washington, her special friend and caregiver Cathy Ratajczak of Jamestown and her favorite dog "Pauline.''
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Curren.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
