SAUQUOIT - Two punt returns for touchdowns enabled the Jamestown Chiefs to even their North Eastern Football Alliance record at 3-3 on rainy Saturday night at Sauquoit Valley High School.

With the game scoreless against the Oneida County Titans, Gary Kum returned a punt 62 yards for one score and Billy Joe Giambelluca returned another 58 yards in the second quarter en route to a 19-8 Chiefs victory.

The Chiefs made it 19-0 in the third period on a 10-yard pass from Lamont Rhim to Frank Vicary. Anthony Hammer booted the extra point.

Oneida County avoided the shutout when it scored all eight points in the final stanza.

Sean DeJesus and Vicary led the Chiefs in rushing while linebacker Hammer was in on nine tackles to lead the defense.

The Chiefs are on the road at Lyndonville at 7:30 p.m. next Saturday.
