Magician Russ Allen recently performed a magic trick with Love Elementary School third-grader Megan Leeper as part of Love's Parents as Reading Partners kick-off assembly. This year's PARP theme is "Reading Can Magically Take You Places." Allen showed students the power of magic and to maintain belief of in your goals to help kick off their reading program. Love Schools' PARP goal is for every student to read for 100 minutes per week at home with a parent or adult. If student reach their goal, they will be awarded a small prize and treated to a party. Teachers and students are also decorating the hallways with items from books they are reading, or subjects and places they are studying.
