Shelters

Fred and Nancy Shelters of Falconer, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 16, 2010, with a family dinner at Roberto's in Jamestown, N.Y., and with an Eastern Caribbean cruise. The dinner was hosted by their children: Tom (Denise) Shelters and David (Jill) Shelters of Kennedy, N.Y., and Sandra (Troy) Stimson of Ross Mills, N.Y. They are also the grandparents of Steve (Stacy) and Scott Shelters, Tyler and Tanner Stimson, Jarrett Kingsbury and Chelsea Aldrich.

Shelters and the former Nancy Main were married Jan. 16, 1960, in the Elmwood Avenue Methodist Church in Falconer. The Rev. Clifford McEntarfer performed the ceremony.

Shelters is retired from MRC/SKF. Mrs. Shelters is retired from Alltel and is employed by the town of Poland. They attend Levant Wesleyan Church and are members of the Vikings, Kennedy Fire Department and Auxillary, the Poland Seniors, Super Travelers and Immanuel Cruisers.
