Charges Clarified

In the incident where three city residents were taken to the city jail Tuesday around 3:45 a.m. for allegedly blocking firefighters' efforts to extinguish a fire, 25-year-old Erica Skinner was charged with obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and animal cruelty; 29-year-old Jason Skinner was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing firefighting operations; and 26-year-old Theron St. Laurent was charged with obstructing firefighting operations. All three were taken to the county jail and later released on bail. The initial press release from the police was unclear as to who specifically received which charges.
