No Injuries In Bus Accident Wednesday Morning

February 3, 2010
By The Post-Journal Staff

No one was injured at 8:40 a.m. today when a Falconer Central School bus ended up in a deep culvert.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, bus driver Daryl Dye, 50, was driving a bus east on Waterman Road while carrying 10 students between the ages of five and eight. Dye was driving down a steep grade when he had to move to the right to avoid a white pickup truck traveling west. The pickup truck was partially in the east lane, causing the bus to go off the road and into the culvert.

The students were subsequently taken to school by alternate transportation. The white pickup tuck continued on without stopping.
