James and Betty Clarke of Forestville N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 29, 2009. They are the parents of Jamie Potter of Jamestown, N.Y., Desiree Coon of Fredonia, N.Y., William Clarke of West Henrietta, N.Y., and Dorothy Clarke of Buffalo, N.Y. They are also the grandparents of Kristin Potter, Jeremy Coon, Jennifer Clarke, Justin Clarke, Joshua Clement, Trisha Moritz, Charlie Clement, John Clement, Gracie Clement and the great-parents of Donovan and Kamden Tilly.
Clarke and the former Betty Felt were married Dec. 29, 1959, in Laona United Methodist Church in Fredonia.
