Naomi I. Wroblewski, 83, of 104 Conewango St., Russell, Pa., passed away at 11:15 a.m., Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at home.
Naomi was born in Altoona, Pa., on Feb. 25, 1926, a daughter of the late Elsie (Burley) and James Simpson.
She was retired from her position as supervisor of dietary at Warren State Hospital in 1984. She was the widow of Edward Thomas Wroblewski. who died in 1985.
Naomi is survived by a daughter, Faye Scott of Jamestown, N.Y.; a son, Gene Helsel of Russell, Pa.; a sister, Elizabeth Reisser of Leaon, Pa; a brother, James Simpson of Denver, Pa.; four grandchildren: Thomas Wachter, Pamela Seekings, Jason Helsel and Rhonda Meuker; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Shirley Auker, Dolly Eller and Eleanor Wood; and a brother who died in infancy.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sugar Grove Branch of McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc. Friends are also invited to call Wednesday noon to 1 p.m. at Russell United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held at Russell United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23 with the Rev. Gary Donaldson officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Pa.
