JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Kyle W. Fanton, 24, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree menacing after officers were called to investigate a man menacing a city resident with a knife on East Second Street on Tuesday evening. With a description of the suspect, officers reported that they found Fanton walking on Falconer Street. He was taken to the city jail and held awaiting arraignment.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

LAKEWOOD - Brandon M. Anderson, 22, of Lakewood was charged with petit larceny Tuesday after he was allegedly caught stealing a digital camera from Wal-Mart. The camera is valued at $59, according to police, who reported that he was released with an appearance ticket.

LAKEWOOD - Jacquelyn R. Vinciguerra, 19, of Fredonia was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property Tuesday in connection with a shoplifting incident at the Chautauqua Mall. She was previously charged in connection with the incident and the new charge comes for allegedly stealing more than $900 worth of merchandise from Claire's Boutique. She was released with an appearance ticket and will be in Busti Town Court later.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

CHERRY CREEK - Jordan K. Fish, 18, of South Dayton was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief Monday after an incident around 8:15 a.m. He was released with an appearance ticket and will be in court later.

PENNSYLVANIA LAW ENFORCEMENT

SHEFFIELD TOWNSHIP - Warren-based state police reported that Brandon Michael Tingue, 23, of Jamestown was taken into custody Monday on a warrant charging him with being a fugitive from justice. He was arraigned and sent to the Warren County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.

CONEWANGO TOWNSHIP - According to Warren-based state police, on Dec. 11 at 9:05 p.m., Buddy J. Steadman, 32, punched two people at the Warren State Hospital, causing injuries to both which required medical attention. Steadman was charged with assault and will answer to the charge at a later date in front of District Magistrate Laura Bauer.

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP - Warren-based state police responded to a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 6 and Swamp Road at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday. According to police, Diane Schipani, 47, of Pittsfield, had stopped the school bus she was driving, with the bus' signals activated, to pick up a child. Police said Stephen Sponenburgh, 68, Youngsville, stopped his 1998 Honda CRV behind the school bus, but Thomas Minski, 61, of Erie, failed to observe the stopped vehicles and his 2005 Nissan Xterra struck the rear end of Sponenburgh's vehicle. Police said Sponenburgh's vehicle then struck the rear of the school bus. Police said Sponenburgh's vehicle and the bus were towed from the scene; Minski drove his vehicle from the scene. According to police, Corry Ambulance transported Sponenburgh to Warren General Hospital with minor injuries. State police were assisted at the scene by Wrightsville and Bear Lake volunteer firefighters.

MEAD TOWNSHIP - Warren County Sheriff's deputies took Christopher Hale, 30, into custody at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 14 on a domestic relations bench warrant issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas for failure to appear for court. Hale was placed in the Warren County Prison pending further court action.

PLEASANT TOWNSHIP - Warren-based state police charged Ronald Eck, 54, Youngsville, with theft at 1:04 a.m. Tuesday for theft. According to police, Eck took a Lasko Cyclonic ceramic heater, valued at $99, and six Italian Spread gift sets, valued at $239.70, from the Blair Distribution Center in Irvine.
