Former Mayor Of Sinclairville Celebrates 90th Birthday

SINCLAIRVILLE - Bob Peterson, who served as the mayor of Sinclairville, was active on the Sinclairville Library board, and owner of Peterson's Agway Store in Sinclairville, celebrated his 90th birthday.

Bob said he is having several celebrations and the recent one was held at the Sinclairville 76ers luncheon site at the Sinclairville Firehall dining room. The Sinclairville 76ers is the meals on wheels program for the Cassadaga Valley area, and Bob is a member of the group.

Site manager Paul Derkovitz congratulated Bob on reaching this milestone in life, and a round of applause was given to Bob.

Bob has been active in many community events, and is a member of the Sinclairville Senior Citizens, and the Valley Historical Society.

Bob is a veteran of World War II, and was a prisoner of war. Bob has been a guest speaker at many events where he has talked about some of his experiences with the war and his time as a prisoner of war. Bob was very active in bowling, and once a week participated in the bowling league.
