Mount Moriah Lodge No. 145 Free & Accepted Masons recently honored the surviving spouses of former members with an appropriate luncheon, in the Stanley A. Weeks Fellowship Hall at the temple on Baker Street Extension.
Ray Gordon and Lee Sperry, co-chairman of the event and past masters of the lodge, welcomed the ladies. They explained the ladies' importance to Freemasonry, having devoted many years to the craft and having always been there with support.
Lynn Jordan, travel consultant with the Jamestown AAA, was the speaker at the luncheon, giving several tips for traveling the world. She repeatedly mentioned how much she had enjoyed traveling with the late Sarita Weeks and all the helpful information that she had gleaned from Mrs. Weeks, a worldwide traveler.
The luncheon was prepared by members of the Mt. Sinai-Mecca Chapter No. 132 OES. Appropriate hand-made gifts were presented to each lady from the lodge to show appreciation for their support.
