ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
FALCONER - Robert L. Houghwot, 34, and Sara M. Fisher, 34, both of East Avenue, Falconer, were charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property following an investigation into a complaint taken from Serta Mattress on Oct. 14. Officials at the business called police and reported that sometime overnight from Oct. 13 into Oct. 14, someone stole two mattresses. The investigation led police to the East Avenue home where one of the stolen mattresses was allegedly found along with evidence that the other had been at the house. Information developed by investigators reportedly led them to believe the second mattress was taken into the home on Oct. 13 and removed by a pick-up truck the following day and taken elsewhere. The investigation is ongoing and investigators said more arrests are pending. LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
LAKEWOOD - A 17-year-old and 18-year-old male were charged with several counts of petit larceny Friday after an investigation into several vehicle larcenies that happened in the early morning hours Wednesday. Police allege that the youths stole numerous items from vehicles and further charges are pending. They will appear in Busti Town Court next Thursday and residents are reminded to remove valuables from their vehicles and lock their doors for safety. Anyone who had property stolen from their vehicle in the area of East Terrace Avenue around the same time frame is asked to call police at 763-9563 to file a report and claim their property.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
POLAND - Destiny J. Hare, 21, of Randolph was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation and cited for speeding Friday following a traffic stop on Route 62 around 2:10 a.m. She was processed and released with an appearance ticket to be in Poland Town Court later.
HANOVER - Donald J. Wiodarek, 53, of Irving was charged with felony DWI and cited for speeding Monday, following a traffic stop on Routes 5 and 20. He was processed and released to appear in Hanover Town Court later.
MAYVILLE - Bryan M. Stingel, 22, of Jamestown was featured on the Chautauqua County's Most Wanted list for violating probation, but has been taken into custody by sheriff's deputies. He is currently being held at the Chautauqua County Jail and will be removed from the list.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
DUNKIRK - Daniel P. McCall, 23, of Akron, Pa., was charged with first-offense aggravated DWI on Thursday following a traffic stop on Vineyard Drive around 11:15 a.m. He was taken into custody, arraigned and held in lieu of bail.
PENNSYLVANIA LAW ENFORCEMENT
PINE GROVE TOWNSHIP - Warren-based state police reported that a man living on Main Street in Russell, Pa., reported that someone entered his residence between Oct. 11 and 20 and removed a Ruger SR-9 9mm pistol, black and green in color. Anyone with information is asked to call the Pennsylvania State Police at 814-728-3600 or Warren County Crime Stoppers at 800-83-CRIME.
WARREN - The Warren County Adult Probation and Parole Department reported that Michael Briggs, 32, of Jamestown was taken into custody Tuesday on a violation of probation charge. Officials said he was originally placed on probation for a charge of possession of a controlled substance and he has been committed to the Warren County Jail pending further court action.
